Think of a boat swaying in mid-sea.
Whether the waves be weak or strong, high or low, the boat will always respond
to the motions of the water, moving from here to there.
But if the boat is firmly anchored to the bottom of the sea, the uncontrollable movements of the waves won't carry it too far from its place.
